Like a torch in the wind, that is what the tower should look like
according to Professor Kluge, who has already realized many artistic
projects with light as central theme.
Wind-sensors detect velocity and direction of wind. A processor in
the tower's basement then calculates the specific brightness of the
single units and transmits this information with speed of light via
glass fibre to the dimming modules. These dimmers have been especially
developed for this project by our engineers.
Controlled via the standard-protocol (DMX512) the neon tubes can
be adjusted to any wind situation possible, without flickering and 60
changes of brightness per second. Just like a torch in the wind.
