Commerzbank Arena

Giant media cube with 11m side length and all in all about 120m² of image area in the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt. It is Sauernheimer’s special lightweight constructing technique, which allows the 38 tons-weighing giant levitating in 26 m above the match field. When the majestic roof is being opened or closed, it slides down to 19 meters and then goes back to its basic position storing the folded roof inside of the cube. Beside the enormous LED-screens the media cube is amongst others equipped with cameras, which record the on-field action at right angle.
