Sauernheimer Lichtgestalt: Company profile

Light-years have passed since Sauernheimer started as a small business for electrics in the centre of Nuremberg and nowadays being a specialist for illuminated advertising all over Europe.
Today the specifications of sales promoters, marketing experts, architects and stress analysts towards to luminous advertising are much more complex. Digital solutions, new light but nevertheless robust materials, environmentalism, futuristic design- these are the slogans, describing the constantly changing standards. For the solution often top level high-tech and not only exceptionally totally new developments are common practice.
But although the technical improvement often claims great efforts, we've always kept our roots. At Sauernheimer numerous craftsmen of different fields work together hand in hand: promotional technicians, glassblowers, plastics locksmiths, panel beaters, metal worker, varnishers and electricians have developed and produced our products together all times. And until today, although engineers are completing the team, nothing changed.
Emphasis has always been placed on innovation at Sauernheimer. Last but not least it was the engineers' creativity and know-how, which made them create a real giant: the media cube with its unique light weight construction. At present time video cubes and installations of Sauernheimer, also equipped with latest LED-technique can be seen at many different stadia all over Europe, e.g. in Frankfurt, Germany, or Prague, Czech Republic. You could think, size and weight don't matter seeing the cubes with side lengths from 7 to 11 m and a "fly weight" from about 23-38 tons levitating and moving nearby the stadium's roof. The largest outdoor installation in an European Stadium is to be seen at the Croke Park Stadium in Ireland. And who else could have developed and installed the 144 m² LED-walls but Sauernheimer?
Next to video cubes and the implementation of video modules another division is growing more and more important: Light Design and Light Entertainment. No matter whether in casinos, gastronomy, offices or private houses, the unison of light and design is more and more stressed and Sauernheimer joins perfectly in this harmony.
It was also creativity, which made the CEO Rudolf Sauernheimer win the idea's competition "innovative communication WM 2006" first prize in "artistic design" category. Placing an head-high grassland made out of numerous perspex blades at the "Hauptmarkt" in Nuremberg, Germany was his winning idea. Each stem is singly accessible and can have any colour possible due to the RGB illumination. So the grass flowing in a soft breeze could as well be simulated as a ball rolling quickly over the lawn.
